Walt Disney World Resort ~ Port Orleans - French Quarter

I have stayed at many Walt Disney World Resort hotels and I always leave each one saying they are my favorite! However, I think I have fallen in love with Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is themed after the famous French Quarter district of New Orleans. With beautiful brick outlined streets, oil lamp streetlights, and little touches of the south - the charm of this resort will win you over! You can even pay for a ride in a horse drawn carriage. I loved hearing the click clack of the horse's hooves when I was out on the wrought iron balcony outside my room.

What I think I loved the most about this hotel, is the quaint and small size. Most Walt Disney World Resorts are so large. I felt like I could stroll the grounds at Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and be able to see it all without having to take a nap! We were also the furthest building from the main building and it was just a hop skip and jump away. It's like every room is a preferred room!

Oh - how can I forget? Hot, fresh, and delicious beignets! They also happen to be gluten free - though you certainly can't tell!

Like most Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter offers many fun and unique resort activities. Movie Under the Stars is always a great way to end a long day in the Theme Parks.

We had great fun at the Cajun Campfire. The roasted marshmallows were delicious!

Your little ones will want to hang out at the pool all day and enjoy these poolside activities!

There is even a fun playground - what child could resist?

Welcome to the pool! The pool at Port Orleans Riverside- French Quarter is large. And has something for everyone!

Look at this ADORABLE splash zone for the littler ones! Your toddlers and younger children will have a blast here splashing, splishing, and sliding!

My husband LOVED that the poolside snack bar, Mardi Crogs,  had soft mickey pretzels! Oh, and beer. He liked the beer also.

The pool is playfully themed and colorfully decorated. My boys loved the water slide!

Let's just take one more look at these beautiful grounds, shall we? Just look at the lush landscaping! Are we in Central Florida or Southern Louisiana?

You can also catch a boat for a nice, relaxing ride right into Disney Springs. It's the best way to arrive in Disney's downtown district in style!

Choose Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter for your next Walt Disney World Resort visit!

  4. That's nice that you felt like you could stroll the grounds. It's sometimes overwhelming if there is too much going on in one place.

  8. We stayed here a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Well you really can't go wrong with any Disney Resort Hotel and if you had said you didn't I would have been disappointed. :)
