OK so I seriously must be crazy and right now I am freaking out a little bit. Several of my bestest friends in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD (seriously, they are my heart guys) are signed up for the runDisney Wine and Dine 10K. I had planned on making cute signs and cheering them on. But then . . . I wanted to be part of the action.
I am so nonathletic I don't even have a photo of me doing ANYTHING remotely physical. And so here are some giraffes. Giraffes must run quickly, right?
You guys WHAT WAS I THINKING?! I have never run at all. If a bear was chasing me I would probably just lie down and let it eat me. I do not run. At all. I never have. Even as a child when we had to run in gym class I just wanted to lie on the blacktop and let the earth swallow me before I would run.
But the thing is - I NEED to do this. I eat extremely healthy but I am still slightly overweight. Slightly, but still there. I have been eating Paleo for 2 years and while I have lost a lot of weight I am still not where I should be. I haven't exercised at all. And so . . . here it is.
My training starts tomorrow. I downloaded the couch to 10K app today. Wish me luck. I will post weekly updates. If I don't die. If you don't see an update I didn't make it y'all. I didn't make it.
