Out with the Old, in with the View...Family Reunions at Atlantis

Aren’t family reunions great? Spending quality time with close family and catching up with those you don’t see often. Cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles get together to reminisce those old memories and laugh until it hurts making new ones. Typical family reunions are potluck picnics, matching t-shirts, sunscreen, bug spray, ladder ball, and bags. But . . . what if I told you there are other options?

Close your eyes . . . WAIT NO DON’T! This is a blog and you have to read. Let’s pretend your eyes are closed. What if you board an airplane and are whisked away to your next family reunion at . . .

Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas!

What if instead of hearing about the old days with Grandma Anne over potato salad and burnt hot dogs you learn about your heritage while feasting on the catch of the day. Atlantis features eight fine dining locations with menus to please everyone.

What if instead of throwing bags with Aunt Jennie you catch up on how her undergraduate classes are going while swimming with dolphins? You can even become an 'Ultimate Trainer for the Day'.

WHAT IF instead of spending time with Cousin Fred constantly picking up napkins off the grass that hitched a ride with the wind you spend the day out on the Caribbean on a fishing excursion? I am guessing the second scenario will result in much better selfies!

And the best part: what if instead of trying to figure out what to do with the little ones of the family - they spend the day at Aquaventure, Atlantis Paradise Island's water park! You will never hear 'I am bored!' during your entire stay!

This could be a reality with your next family reunion at The Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas – your Facebook feed will be the envy of your friends! You already work hard at your 9 to 5 (or 8 to 6?!)  – don’t work even harder planning something that is supposed to be fun! Let your quality family time be stress-and work-free. Let Atlantis take care of everything so you can actually connect with your family during your family reunion. Atlantis also offers all-inclusive packages so you don't have to worry about a thing!

The Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas is a perfect place to celebrate all life’s celebratory moments. From milestone birthdays, graduations, personal triumphs, honeymoons and more.

Have you ever dreamed of saying "I do" to the person of your dreams in the place of your dreams? STOP DREAMING! Crystal blue water and towering palm trees are the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos that will live on for generations. At The Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas this dream wedding can easily become your reality.

  2. That sounds like a great place for a family reunion. My mom won't get on a plane, though, so we have to keep ours local.

  3. An unreal, family getaway. Too bad many of our extended family couldn't even afford the airfare! I've taken my immediate family and parents to WDW as well as the beach, but something like this would be dreamy.

    1. Is a lazy river bad for anyone?! :) Your little one will love it. There are also many more water areas for your 6 year old to explore so even if he doesn't like it - he is bound to still have an amazing time!

  9. I've been to Atlantis and ADORE the place... but don't adore the crowds if you hit it during a popular time (ex: spring break). However, this is so magical and even wtih crowds its always a favorite! Swimming with the sharks is the best!

  32. We visited the Bahamas for our 1st anniversary and although it was beautiful our stay was marred by Hurricane Floyd! I'd really like to go back though, maybe for our 21st anniversary in 2019?

  33. I have had the pleasure of going to Atlantis twice and I absolutely recommend it! Their dining locations really do have quite a variety to please everyone - even reallllllly picky eaters! It is a really good option to do the dining plan because then you don't have to worry about what type of food costs you'll have and you can plan your whole budget around activities. I found the food options were really filling - especially Carmines! Holy Crap did they really give you an ENORMOUS portion of pasta and steaks. I could have fed half the restaurant on what my table of 5 ordered!

I did not personally go swimming with dolphins but I would highly recommend it because it's always a pleaser on cruises. I had no idea that you could become an 'Ultimate Trainer for the Day'. That is AMAZING! I saw people were scuba diving in the tanks behind the lobby and I thought that would be a really fun excursion, too.

I'm not a huge fish eater, but that Caribbean fishing excursion idea sounds great! For other non-seafood eaters, I suggest you go for a day of snorkeling. You can take great selfies if you get an underwater camera.
