I know what you are thinking. What happened to weeks 7 and 8?!?! Life. Life keeps happening! I have this lofty goal and as much as I would love to have more time to run it is getting very difficult to do so. I won't run in the dark and I keep running out of daylight! It is already dark by the time I get home from work and even if I WAS a morning person, it isn't light out until just before 7 when I have to start getting ready for work. On top of trying to squeeze in these runs when I can - everything hurts. OK maybe not everything . . . mainly my calves. I keep stretching and doing yoga - which does help. But - the soreness still remains.
I can't spring for a deep tissue massage after every run. Even if I could financially afford to - I don't have the time! (Did you see the first paragraph, people?) Luckily, I have a solution! I received this product in exchange for my honest review. (Also, if you purchase this using my links below The Dreamer Family receives a small commission.)
What the heck is this?! This is the 2 Live Infinitely Foam Muscle Roller. Translation = heaven in cylinder form. You can use this little beauty to soften those tight muscles - and not just in your legs!
I have also been using it for my upper back / neck tightness as well. Sitting at a desk all day really does a number to my upper body.
Using your body weight and a bit of your own muscle power - you roll along this guy and it perfectly give direct pressure to your aching muscles! The 'trick' is you HAVE to relax your muscles. I know, they hurt! With a little practice you will soon have nice, loose, and pain-free muscles!
Sore calves? No problem!
IT band tight? Got it!
Sore back? Feel better quick!
This dog is seriously ALWAYS in the way! I can't keep him away from this roller. Even he likes to lay over it or next to it. I keep it up HIGH when I am not around. He did eat my entire dinner tonight. (I am STARVING!) He can't be trusted.
What sore areas are you excited ease with the 2 Live Infinitely Foam Muscle Roller?
FYI: If you are trying to read my T-Shirt it says 'Sweat like a pig to look like a fox'. It is my FAVORITE!
